Meet the sales team: Jimmy Shen, Sales Manager at ATEQ TPMS Tools – China
It’s the third week of the Monday Motivation series where we honor our top ATEQ TPMS sales managers for all the hard work they do… they truly are an inspiration for all of us at the company. We are delighted to introduce Jimmy Shen, Sales Manager for ATEQ TPMS Tools in China. Jimmy is full of determination and drive to face the challenges of the future Chinese market as the industry continues to grow at a lightening rate of speed. If anyone can keep up, it’s Jimmy! He’s shown time and time again that he’s ready to continue to lead the ATEQ China team during their expansion and growth.
Jimmy graduated with a Bachelor Degree in Engineering from Nanchang Hangkong University, in Nanchang City, China. His first job out of college was as a technical support technician at a small joint venture company, where he was responsible for aiding customers and partners in the OEM industry with date acquisition equipment. Today, Jimmy is responsible for TPMS sales in OEM, Industrial, and Aftermarket TPMS in China.
“ATEQ has helped me tremendously in my professional career. I believe I came at the right time as the TPMS market is continuously sparking interest,” commented Jimmy. “The knowledge and the experiences I have gained in recent years working in the automotive industry is priceless. It has helped me gain more confidence and professionalism, and I hope to continue to earn respect within the community of the aftermarket and OEM world.”
Between 2011 and 2016, the growth of TPMS steadily increased because of consumer-concern of tire inflation safety measures. In 2017, the market exploded in growth from the new laws passed in China. According to GB-Standard 26149, in 2019, all vehicles newly certified must be installed with TPMS, and in 2020, TPMS must be installed in all vehicles that are in production. This, of course, brings great potential to ATEQ China’s business growth in OE and Aftermarket TPMS industries.
“The Chinese market is the largest and most complex market for goods and services, and I am up for the challenge. I am luckily to be serving this region, which includes all global vehicle brands, and well as many local brands from China. I am eager to see where the future takes this company, and I am honored to take part of the growth.”
