Last month, ATEQ TPMS Tools and Jeff Buckley, owner of My Father’s Shop, created a “Back to School Giveaway” voting contest for automotive schools across the nation. 16 schools participated in the contest, and in the end, it was Rolling Meadows High School that won with over 1800 votes. ATEQ TPMS Tools surprised the winning school with an upgraded VT56 TPMS Tool Kit from the original winning prize of a VT36 TPMS Tool. With the VT56, the students now have the ability to service TPMS on any vehicle that comes in their shop without the need of a scan tool, including Asian, Domestic and European vehicles. The ATEQ TPMS Tools team also surprised the school with an announcement that they would hand-deliver the winning tool to Joel Dufkis, automotive instructor at Rolling Meadows High School, and his second-year automotive students.

On Friday, September 7th, during the 90-minute class session, the ATEQ TPMS team made the trip from Livonia, Michigan to Rolling Meadows, Illinois, to educate the students about the functions and features of the winning VT56 TPMS Toolkit, as well as basics and fundamentals of TPMS.

“It was truly an honor to for our team to visit the staff and students at Rolling Meadows High School. The community worked extremely hard to win the contest, and we felt it was only right to educate them during our visit,” commented Sheila Stevens, Marketing Manager at ATEQ TPMS Tools. “The students received hands-on training with the VT56 TPMS Diagnostic Toolkit with a vehicle in their shop. It was amazing to see how excited and eager they were to get their hands on new technology that they may have not been able to obtain if it wasn’t for this contest. Overall, we were grateful to be able to make a difference during our time there, and hope to see a long-lasting relationship with the Rolling Meadows and the other schools that entered the contest.”

“I am very grateful to Sheila and Eri from ATEQ and Jeff Buckley from My Fathers Shop for putting on this contest. It was a great way to kick off the school year and it was a great way to engage the community in what our program is and what it’s about. I want to thank the community members and the school for rallying behind us and getting the votes in to afford us this opportunity. It was a really great surprise for ATEQ to up the ante and give us a VT56 and I know it will be put to good use in our classes. We also really appreciated them coming out here to train our students how to use the tool and give them some background on TPMS.”

ATEQ TPMS Tools and Rolling Meadows High School instructor Joel Dufkis recorded the training session on Facebook Live. ATEQ TPMS Tools will soon announce a new giveaway contest to help automotive schools obtain advanced TPMS technology.
