We are proud to welcome Eric Le Yavanc, TPMS Product Marketing Specialist at ATEQ TPMS Tools. Eric is based in France; he specializes in the European, Middle East and Africa markets, and has some worldwide responsibilities. He will contribute to bringing new ATEQ TPMS products to the market by coordinating marketing briefs, participating in hardware, software and interface design, creating marketing material and ensuring projects coordination.

Originally from France, Eric studied Electronics in Burgundy and years after Journalism in Paris. He started his career as an independent developer working for small businesses and providing them with tailored made solutions. Later, he was journalist for ten years, chief editor at ZDNet.fr (French version of US portal ZDNet.com) and launched monthly publication “Palmtops Magazine” dedicated to Smartphones. For the past ten years, he worked for an international public relations agency, where he was PR / communication manager in charge of clients such as GPS manufacturer Garmin, storage expert Western Digital and software security leader Kaspersky Labs.

“Working for automotive brands since several years I really wanted to join a manufacturer to have the opportunity to work directly onto the products. Today, working with ATEQ talented and experienced engineers, developers and electronics technicians is a real pleasure because they shared easily their TPMS knowledge and expertise. In the meantime, global marketing and sales teams had make me feel comfortable instantly. On top of that, the nice thing with automotive industry is most of the people (car manufacturers, OEM…) are passionate about their job,” commented Eric.

Eric began his career at ATEQ in May 2018. Since he has started, he has already the chance to launch two new products (unveiled in coming weeks) and attended Automechanika Frankfurt (DE), Automechanika Birmingham (UK) and Tire Cologne (DE) and will be attending the upcoming SEMA and AAPEX shows in Las Vegas, where the Americas and Asia team will be able to meet him in person.

“Since I’ve started at ATEQ, I’ve enjoyed working with most of the TPMS team, and getting to know the international scope of work. I like to travel, exchange points of view and collaborate with teams and partners from all around the world and finally discover new cultures. My recent trip in Asia has totally changed the perception I had about IT manufacturing in China. I’m very excited to prepare the next generation of our TPMS products.” said Eric. “I am also looking forward to attending AAPEX and SEMA in Las Vegas to enjoy the whole TPMS team!”

Other fun facts about Eric:

• When he’s not at work, Eric is passionate about producing electronic music with multiple synths, vintage keyboards, and computers and also enjoys restoring classic cars with friends. More than anything, he enjoys being with his young boys, ages 9 and 12 on the weekends.
• His favorite quote (and if you’re from France, this will make you giggle), “It’s a joke, only understandable from French people. It comes from our former Prime Minister Jean-Pierre Raffarin who says: ‘Win the yes, need the no to win again the no!’”.
• He believes “passion” best sums up his personality. “I need to be passionate to dive into topics and understand them. After that, it’s mainly pleasure!”
• His childhood hero is his father. “Without any hesitation, my childhood hero is my father who initiated me to computing in the early days, even before 1983 and the PC first introduction on the market! A few years later, my first contact with an Apple Macintosh blew me away. Instantly, I thought that I had to work into computing and software development. And this is what I did! Steve Jobs keynotes and the way he has conducted the reborn of Apple is also a real source of inspiration.”
