VIDEO: OBD TPMS relearn on a Hyundai Azera, featuring Dynamic Pro-Select

Dynamic pro select tpms sensorATEQ TPMS Tools releases a new video on how to replace an OE or Aftermarket TPMS sensor with a Dynamic Pro-Select TPMS sensor, then perform an OBD relearn on a Hyundai Azura, using the VT56 TPMS Diagnostic Tool.

Steps on how to replace a TPMS sensor with the Dynamic Pro-Select Sensor, using a VT56:

The Dynamic Pro-Select TPMS Sensor is a configurable sensor, loaded with the latest TPMS protocols. You can either copy the original OE or aftermarket TPMS sensor or create new sensor ID’s if the original sensor is not in working order. In this video instruction, we show how to create a new sensor ID protocol.

  • From the main menu, go to PROGRAM, select SENSOR, then navigate to Dynamic Pro-Select, then select the vehicle Make, Model and Year.
  • Select the CREATE icon, then hold the sensor valve above the tool’s antenna, and press the green button to write new sensor information.

Since new TPMS protocols were written to the sensor, you will need to perform a relearn procedure to write the TPMS sensor information to the vehicle’s ECU.

Steps on how to perform an OBD relearn on a Hyundai Azera using the VT56:

Asian vehicle manufacturers, such as the Hyundai, require the VT56 to be connected to the vehicle through the OBDII port to write the TPMS sensor information to the vehicle’s ECU. The steps are written within the tool, simply follow the instructions to reset the TPMS system and turn the light off.

  1. Activate the left front sensor, then repeat the process to the right front sensor, right rear sensor, and left rear sensor.
  2. Turn the ignition ON, then plug the OBDII module to the VT56 using the RJ45 cable, then connect the OBDII module to the OBDII port. The tool will guide you by showing where the OBDII module is located under the dashboard on the driver’s side.
  3. Press OK to write the TPMS sensor information to the ECU.
