TPMS TOOLS FOR MERCEDES VEHICLES
ATEQ TPMS and Aftermarket solutions help garages and tire shops service their customers’ vehicles faster, better and more securely. ATEQ works closely with Citroen and other OEM’s, both on the production line and in the Vauxhall dealerships and workshops. Our collaboration gives us access to the latest TPMS Protocols as soon as a new vehicle is brought to the market.

WHICH DEVICE SHOULD I USE FOR MERCEDES TPMS SYSTEMS?
All ATEQ tools are compatible with Audi original sensors. Many devices also program universal aftermarket sensors to be fitted in Audi vehicles. To reset or to relearn the Audi TPMS ECU use any ATEQ TPMS tool, such as the ATEQ VT36 or ATEQ VT56. It is required to drive the car in case of Auto Relearn.
The ATEQ VT56 is the all-in-one comprehensive TPMS tool with coverage for all TPMS enabled vehicles in Europe, but also imported vehicles from America. It covers all Mercedes passenger vehicles, as well as all other TPMS equipped vehicles on the market. With its OBDII module and advanced features, the tool acts as a full diagnostic tool for all TPMS maintenance. It includes OBD relearn procedures for more than 50% of Mercedes passenger cars. Find out more about the ATEQ VT56 here. |
ATEQ VT36 is a TPMS activation and programming tool with coverage for all Mercedes vehicles. For TPMS relearn the VT36 can be used in conjunction with a diagnostic scan tool or the relearn instructions in the car user manual can be followed. Find out more about VT36 TPMS tool on this page. |
When a Mercedes TPMS sensor is broken, or does not respond anymore, it is time to replace it. Go to the Part Number Lookup menu in the ATEQ TPMS tool menu, to find the right Original Equipment spare part replacement number for Mercedes. Another alternative is to programme a universal sensor. A TPMS programming tool such as the VT36, VT46 and the VT56 allows to programme over 10 brands of universal sensors.
See this video about programming a TPMS sensor.
All Mercedes vehicles, with one exception, use a DIRECT TPMS system. This system uses wireless TPMS sensors to directly measure air and temperature in the wheels and transmits the data to the car’s ECU. The advantage of the direct sensors is that it’s more accurate. The battery life of TPMS sensors is about 6-9 years depending on use. The relearn procedure for most Mercedes cars is Auto Relearn. However, Ateq has developed specific OBDII procedures for over 50% of Mercedes vehicles. These OBDII relearn procedures are available on the ATEQ VT56 TPMS tool for example.
